This community on the outskirts of Charleston has been welcoming a lot of new people lately, and it’s easy to see why—the great weather, the beautiful beaches, the high quality of life, the low cost of living….I mean, I live here. I know it’s a great place.

Part of the growth has been the result of expanded employment opportunities. Boeing and Volvo have both taken it to the next level in the Charleston area, and quite a number of new employees now call Summerville home. With high employment and an influx of new people, smaller businesses are doing well, too, which further enhances the local economy. The process builds on itself.

Of course, any time you move to a new area, you’ll need time to get to know the place—what restaurants you like, which stores have the things you need, who you should talk to for help with whatever it is you have going on. But as you settle in, you’ll find that everyone in Summerville is willing to lend a hand, even if it doesn’t benefit them personally. People are just friendly here.
